Showing my age here, lol but I joined a Bunko group which consists of some of my neighbors on my street along with women from the womens club at the local churches in our area.  At these meetings/play night we discuss a variety of topics and I mentioned the course I am taking and it started a great conversation among the women who discussed...

Per our section in SCL, I did end up taking a mode of transportation this week that is highly unusual for me--I drove! And it suuuuuuuuucked. I had to drive my husband to and from the hospital for a procedure requiring anesthesia--no getting getting behind the wheel for me. We had to be at Mercy at 8:30a the day after all that snow. It was...

Went to the 6th Annual Tree Planting Day at Washington University this afternoon!  Seemed like a chilly day, but once you got into the work, it wasn't so cold at all.  I planted six trees/bushes: Chokeberries and Paw Paw.  It was a beautiful afternoon, after all.  This was in association with Tree Campus USA, a program with the Arbor Day...

This challenge for me was pretty difficult.  I support a lot of local restaurants and drinking establishments but locally shopping for items instead of on-line is, for me, a huge headache. I wanted to challenge myself and this was one of my biggest challenges so far.  As many of us, in the US, we have gotten bit by the Amazon/On-line purchasing...

Became a member of the Missouri Coalition for the Environment today.  I appreciate there are hardworking individuals out there working to shift policy that will make our air, water, and soil cleaner and to inform the public of ways each person can, individually, make "greener" choices.

I noticed on the new they are coming up with another fancy apple-Cosmic Crisp.   A merge between honey crisp and a tart apple. It should show  up in stores this December. I"m not sure how I feel about this yet.
