I recommend you take the time to view the story about bottled water.  I try to avoid buying it whenever possible.

Channel 56 has a lot of documentaries on countries that still does have clean water. Truly is it something we city dwellers take for grant it. On the program I watch children in Africa walking 4 miles or more to get a bath and bring back water for cooking for the family. This child was 10. At this age I would run and play all day on Saturdays and go in the house for cool drink or drink right from the water hose out side. (YES, I DID). As a child it look as clean as the inside water to me and it was cold.  As an adult I know realize the many thing that can be in water to make people very sick. It brakes my heart to see at this day and age people suffering. What happen in Flint, MI those responsible people should be made to drink that water they said was ok for others to drink.

What TRACK MY PURCHASES! Sorry I use all caps for myself. I can get so far off budget when I do not watch what I spend. Why I spend in a better question? WOW when I'm bored I shop! I know that bad. I'm better now I can only use cash to shop it was a time I used credit. Now that my debt is under control. I still need help with the shopping thing. I go from clothing to home improvement stuff. Tip of the year. Do not go food shopping when hungry! You spend and extra $20.00. Pray for me, I've got to due better but tracking is a reality check. Try it!

Sorry been on PTO lately, while I was away from my position I volunteered with Orchard Children's Foundation - (MI). At the Southfield Civic Center they give 400 foster children shoes, helmets, bike, school uniforms and lunch. They had a couple of bounce houses. It was a huge success. The next day I volunteered at Gleaners. They are in needed of speakers to go out to the community and get their message out. We are here to service the under feed. Both are excellent causes. I feel so bless to support them. I volunteer a lot to focus on others. I'm a widow and I could spent time at home alone but I'm healthy and happier servicing my community.

Please read carefully and provide your comments / feedback. It sounds alarming, and feels like something I should take action, on but I am not very clear how.

So happy that summar has arrived. And since I broke part of the auto timer on my living room lamp, it now turns only in the evening.  Not a problem because the sun is on it's way up with I get up in the morning.  I don't plan on fixing it either.  So I save a few hours of lamp time.

Sorry about the spelling error.  I am happy that Summer has arrived, not summar.

Habits are hard to brake! Today I got a straw in the lunch room. I really like drinking out of straws (now metal ones). I really could not put it back but I refuse to use it. Our habits are most of the issues we face. Pray for me and I will pray for and the changes we are trying to make. We as a people must continue to try to make little changes so they can turn into large turn a rounds in thinking! Good Luck to you and me.

I've learned today and realized that if you steam eggs and vegetables rather than boiling them, you save water and energy. Just a thought that I wanted to share.

Picked strawberries for the first time ever!  So delicious.   Froze many for future needs.  Much better than buying fruit out of season.   Going blueberry picking in July.  Looking forward to it!

Today's let talk about litter. Is it me? Or has people's behavior showing they just do not care any more. I live on a main street in Livonia Michigan. I fine diapers! Also other things that people throw out of the window. It is so sad that we as a people have gotten so unconcerned with our environment. This is a planet. That is already showing signs of abuse. How do we stop littering? How do we go back to everyone caring about their own actions? When do we teach our children to do the right thing from a young age and when they get older they will know the correct thing to do with trash. We must continue to try! Pray! Then keep our part of the planet as clean as possible. Good Luck!
