It's really interesting to see the challenges that they list, because some of them I do without thinking whereas others seem like more daunting tasks for "professionals" (example: installing a rain garden) that I would not have even thought to do! I also found the challenge to improve a bus stop really interesting. I've heard from many peers who try to use the public bus system that its incredibly inefficient and unreliable. If the bus system was reliable, who knows how many cars we could keep off the roads!

This past weekend I went to a trash clean up at a local park, and it was really surprising to see the types of trash we picked up in what's supposed to be a kids park!! Lots of beer cans. I noticed that there aren't that many trash cans throughout the trails and it's not even labeled for recycling, so they should probably add more of those as an effort to encourage people to not let their bottles fall into the ecosystem!

I walk to campus even when it's cold and or raining because A) I don't have a parking pass and B) I want to keep my emission as low as possible!

I eat out alot, so I've been going out of my way to eat at restaurants that locally source their food! When I'm at work I eat Sweetgreen for lunch 2x a week. When in Fairfax I'll go out of my way to go to Cava or Chopt to ensure the ingredients have been sourced locally and sustainably.
