Last week, I attended the New York State Democratic Committee meeting, I was excited the members vote on a resolution calling for climate justice and green renewal. This is huge step for all New Yorkers since temperature above 90 degrees are expected to double by 2050.
So far so good. This week I am attending the Somos legislative conference in Puerto Rico. Like every year, i am excited for the community service that its usually done on Friday the 10th. Here is the project that i will be attending to help.

Coalición Restauración Ecosistemas Santurcinos, Puerto Rico
CRES, the Coalición Restauración de Ecosistemas Santurcinos, is a nonprofit working in Puerto Rico towards restoration and conservations of the natural environment. Their projects have included working on conservation for the coral reefs and dunes, reforestation, cleaning the coastlines and implementing better recycling systems!
Their Bucaré Urban Garden (BUG) is an urban-community garden and nursery in San Juan, located in the Punta Las Marías area. The site is also used to offer workshops in propagation of plants, bioconstruction, composting and permaculture, and other topics.

My choices are going great,. This week a learned about climates jobs. An organization that work to combat climate change, create good union jobs, and reverse racial and economic inequality by building a worker-centered renewable economy. Our Story - Climate Jobs National Resource Center (cjnrc.org)
The choices that made are working out, I am currently in a trip to Mexico and a I am Suprise on the level on sustainable awareness and practice. I may same in some cases, Highter than New York, for example the way food is wrapped is not aluminums but plantain leaves.

From my reading I learned that sustainability and corporate responsibility are constantly changing over time to reflect the different issues and concerns that affect people and the planet. The text traces the origins and development of these ideas, and how they are related to various aspects of society, such as the environment, human rights, labor practices, consumer protection, and democracy. It also explores how businesses can benefit from embracing these values and addressing the needs and aspirations of their diverse stakeholders.
I Just began this week but is going amazing. I am a community, political and labor activist. I work for an international Union, and my work is my lifestyle, therefore I feel very familiar with the project. We work in areas that make up today's sustainability movement from workers’ rights, the environment, community relations, responsible investment, and others. We pass legislation to improve workers’ writing, we organize workplace around social, economic and safety issues. We invest millions of dollars in pension funds in markets that are labor friendly or markets with high social responsibility. We work close to consumer protection and other government agencies to make sure existing protection laws are enforced and when there is none we create. We passed legislation to reduce chemical use in the carwash industry, after learning that workers were getting sick from being exposed to chemicals, but also the water was getting contaminated with. We promote civil rights and liberties and progressive elected officials who can make a difference in government.
