    I am extremely excited to let you know that I have made a downpayment for my allotment. I will need to plough it and it will be a lot of work but I hope to be able to grow a few vegetables before the winter.

    This week's topic is really interesting, I found. I am trying to eat less meat. I had not realized that lamb and beef were so much worse than chicken for example. I have also engaged with the local canteen and asked them whether we could have re-usable bowls for the salad bar.
