This week I am trying to reduce the amount that I drive my car. Recently, I carpooled with a family member as we did our errands around town. Normally we would have taken separate vehicles, as we were going to different places, but instead, we went together. Not only did this reduce the amount of greenhouse gases our cars emitted, but it also gave me and this family member time to hang out together!

      Bravo Justus!
I rarely drive, nor consider share ride carpool simply considering the social distancing etc.,It was refreshing to read your post! This inspired me to offer 2 veteran elders a ride to receive our Vaccine.

That is a really great way to spend some quality time together and make an impact on the planet! I wish I was able to not depend so much on my car.

This week I am attempting to reduce the amount of animal products I eat by eating meatless two meals a day. This is a very small step, but I feel good knowing that I am reducing my footprint. I also made some re-usable coffee filters out of local hemp cotton. This means that I no longer need to buy disposable coffee filters!

I completely support baby steps when in comes to lifestyle changes. Small changes made gradually overtime are way more likely to stick! I was struggling with reducing my consumption of animal products, but lately I've just been living off chips and cereal (and peaches) so less animal products, but more packaging waste): Hopefully I can re-center myself and get back to veggie rich eating habits.
      Keep up the good work.

I decided to sign a petition today, a small but important step that shows governments and people in power that legislation and laws affect human and animal lives.

      Justus,

That's awesome! I signed some petitions this week too. Which one did you sign?

Today I explored the idea of purchasing only what I need, (under the tab of Consumption and Economy). This has been an area that I've wanted to grow in, but I often fail. To counteract this, and to grow in self control, I decided that I wouldn't purchase a single item today. This feels like a very small step, but I think that training my body and brain to purchase minimally and consciously can have a great impact.

Hey Justus, great effort! There are zero failures......
Your success reminds me of one form of  "window shopping therapy" . Ideally, is suppose to get easier over time with practice ?
