    This week on transportation, I realized conveniences are costly, both economically and environmentally. I learned with my privilege that I have a choice in the way I transport myself in an environmentally friendly way. I have been more attentive in not using my car for unnecessary trips, which has health benefits as well. I began to skateboard and walk most places especially if my intention is between 1 and 3 miles. In return taking longer in transit allows my mind to wonder - which I like.

    This week, I tried to be more aware of my water usage. I realized I used a lot of water to wash my plates before putting them in the dishwasher and I now just scrub my plates without water. I began to question how much water is used to create things - hats, books, masks, towels, and metal. I also wonder what type of water is used to produce such objects. The water chapter makes me want to get rid of useless things that I have.

    This week I joined Imperfect foods. This company only uses foods that would have been thrown away - just because the food doesn't resemble imitation of it doesn't mean it can't be eaten. They also bring foods from local farmers transforming the middle man into a sustainable one.  This will increase my organic intake while decreasing my plastic use. This weekend I went to the farmers market and got some fresh veggies, which I missed. I also watched the documentary Seaspiracy, which was crazy.
