Czarinna Mae Posadas 11/24/2020 6:14 PMAmy suggested to invest in some rain gear so I can be able to walk more (while staying dry from Portland weather) and not rely on public transportation. I was able to go thrifting and get some decent pieces, excited to explore more of Portland before it gets colder! -
Czarinna Mae Posadas 11/12/2020 11:58 AMToday’s lecture made me reflect on my experiences with transportation and also made me realize how we can easily walk around Portland. It’s easy to take advantage of all the public transit we have here (buses, MAX, streetcars, etc), but that doesn’t mean I should always use it. Going to try walking to places more despite the cold and hopefully I can find different routes to take to certain places rather than just taking the usual route when I use transit. -
Czarinna Mae Posadas 10/30/2020 2:19 PMDropped my ballot off today and was able to get my steps in despite the gloomy weather. It was nice to spend some time around nature because living downtown gets boring. -
Czarinna Mae Posadas 10/21/2020 9:41 PMCooking meals with zero food waste has been easier than I thought (so far at least). Taking time to plan out my meals instead of rushing to cook up a quick meal has been very helpful. Hoping to be able to try out new recipes this week and avoid being repetitive with my meals. -
Czarinna Mae Posadas 10/14/2020 8:29 PMFor this week I focused on an action based on consumption and economy by only purchasing stuff that I need. This was very tempting considering how Amazon had their Prime Day (2 day sale) and Target had a similar sale going on this week. I was very tempted to purchase stuff I definitely don't need, but it was nice to practice some self control and create better spending habits. -
Czarinna Mae Posadas 10/05/2020 9:45 PMStarted making use of my reusable cup especially since I'm home most of the time. I don't really have any excuse to be buying plastic bottles anyway and it's better for the planet.-
Sophia Serrano 10/07/2020 8:22 PMThat cup is super cute! I also love how you're doing this, I feel like so much plastic is wasted on coffee these days since most coffee places cannot accept reusable cups due to COVID. Little steps like these help us to avoid contributing to waste. Great job!! :)

Czarinna Mae Posadas 9/30/2020 8:26 PMWatched a documentary with my friends today and it was called “Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret” (you can find it on Netflix). Highly recommend this documentary if you want to learn more about the impact of animal agriculture on our environment and other environmental concerns.
