Sachin Pahuja 7/02/2020 6:41 AMThis week I went to a local farm to pick berries with my family, and yesterday my brother and I spent the afternoon making jam and pie! I used an old jar we had lying around, and the water I used to sterilize the jar and process the jam was later dumped in a bucket of water that we have for watering the plants outside.

Laura Standley 7/02/2020 7:57 PMOooooohhhh the pie looks delicious! Also, I would LOVE to learn to make jam...I made it once in a cooking class in High School LONG AGO, but of course, I forgot how to make it. It was apple...so good!

Sachin Pahuja 6/26/2020 9:25 PMI'm making a goal to spend some time outside every day, because it's good to get fresh air and it also helps to feel more like a part of the world instead of apart from it. Today I stood around on the back porch for a little while and looked at my mom's plants. She planted some honeysuckle earlier this spring -- the non-invasive kind, don't worry -- and the hummingbirds love it! There have been a lot of those little white butterflies too (apparently they're called cabbage butterflies). Other creatures of note are the multitude of fruit flies hanging around our compost bin, a couple of really cute sparrows, and this rabbit which has purportedly raced through our backyard:-

Sachin Pahuja 6/26/2020 9:26 PM(I haven't actually seen the rabbit in the backyard, I took this photo on my way back from a walk last week, and my mom and brother both said that they'd seen it there)
