Dakota Mullins 9/27/2018 5:20 PMThis week I decided to sign a petitions that I thought was very important. Rather than finding any in person, I looked through many different petitions on change.org. I looked for ones that looked legitimate and I decided on one that seemed really important to me. It was a petition to President Trump called "Children Don't Belong in Cages." started by Kids in Need of Defense organization. This campaign is being run in order to stop the indefinite detention of immigrant children. I felt as though this one was important because I had seen a video earlier this week that showed an 11 year old son being reunited with his mother and grandmother at Dulles airport after being detained for 6 months. This story broke my heart and it hit so close to home. I included the link below if anyone else would be interested in signing.
