Aida Marzullo 7/06/2020 9:59 AMMost people don't realize how much food they throw away every day — from uneaten leftovers to spoiled produce. About 94 % of the food we throw away ends up in landfills or combustion facilities. In 2017, we disposed of 38.1 million tons of food waste (Reducing Wasted Food At Home. EPA Unites States Environmental Protection Agency).New findings are the first to calculate the level of food that goes uneaten in individual households. This waste has a clear economic impact, as well as effects on our health and the environment. (Medical, News Today)
Making eco-enzyme for plants is a good way to reduce wasted food. Do you know that waste fruit peels and kitchen waste such as outer leaves that are not needed at home can be turned into environmentally friendly eco-enzyme with decontamination effect after simple treatment?

Aida Marzullo 6/23/2020 7:51 PMTo avoid using plastic bags and paper bags at the supermarket, I made several cotton bags when I go shopping grocery, and I already keep this lifestyle for several years. From our capstone textbook, I learned that "Sustainable development is meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs"(Choices For Sustainable Living"). So, I'll keep this shopping habit.-
