Nayanka James 2/23/2018 7:31 AMI invited my friends to eat at my place and watch the documentary the True Cost, which is a great documentary ! That was fun but I don't know if they will change anything about their habits ! -
Nayanka James 2/23/2018 7:30 AMI went to my neighbors dorm and I offer them "crepes", which are french pancakes. They were not really... nice and refused my offer ! So I ate my crepes alone !! -

Nayanka James 2/22/2018 6:17 PMThis week I tried to be more organize and plan my food in advance to reduce the food waste. It was not easy because sometimes I did not want to cook altogether and I only wanted to eat bread and jam! -
Nayanka James 2/22/2018 6:15 PMThis challenge was not hard for me knowing that I am only cooking with organic ingredients, I think that it is very important to be careful of the food that we ingest. Eating organic food is also way more tasty !! -
Nayanka James 2/22/2018 6:13 PMI watched a documentary about a slaughterhouse in France. It was posted on a Facebook page called Konbini which offered numerous short videos about different subjects and different perspectives on the same subject. Recently, they did videos on the way animals were treated in slaughterhouse in France, it was awful to heard the guy talk about what happened to him whole he was working there.
And how animals were violently and mistreated by the employees. He is now a practically a vegetarian and denounce in a book the method used to produce meat -
Nayanka James 2/22/2018 6:10 PMI watched a documentary called the True Cost, this documentary is about the fashion industry; and how clothes are produced in developing countries like Bangladesh. It was heart-breaking and awaking to realize how our industry damaged both the environment and societies, jut for us to have clothes that we don't really need and that we won't use a long time; -
Nayanka James 2/22/2018 6:07 PMI talked with some of friends about sustainability and what it represented to them. And I was really surprised to realize that they did not have the same point of view about the issue, and how some of them did not really care about the environment. -
Nayanka James 2/22/2018 6:05 PMI asked my mom to signed a petition in my hometown for me. This petition is against gold mining in French Guiana, particularly near cities like Saint-Laurent-du-Maroni my hometown.
