This week I have spent a lot of time outside walking about 5 miles a day. I think it is a good way to center yourself for the day and feel more connected.

This week I am trying to shop with zero waste. It's going pretty well so far and I feel very good about not adding to landfills!

My EcoChange for this week is going very well so far. I have made meals from whole foods (all veggies) and have stuck to mostly seasonal things. The seasonal part is a little harder than I thought but I am trying my best.

Recently I watched the documentary "Forks Over Knives" which talked about studies done showing that consumption of meat and processed foods are very connected to chronic diseases such as cancer and diabetes. It was incredibly eye opening about how what we put in our bodies really affects us long term.

I recently watched the documentary with David Attenborough that had to do with overpopulation and what we are doing to the earth.

Lately I have been using the service called Imperfect Foods to do a lot of my grocery shopping. They use fruits, vegetables, grains, and other food products that are not suitable for sale in grocery stores; for example, misshapen bell peppers, tricolor quinoa that is technically not tricolor enough, or salmon cuts that aren't the right size. They also offer a lot of organic options. It makes me feel happy that I am helping put food to use that is perfectly good and may be thrown out otherwise.
