Hey everybody, got to be honest, been focusing more on other aspects of school work this semester and not really looking at the ecochallenges. But i present chapter 5 tomorrow so that will be fun.

Hi, answering questions for chapter five here,
1.) Good relationships with my neighbors is what makes me feel connected.
2.) Social inequalities create divides with the community; feeling of us vs them. Meaning people only help people close to them in status which makes it near impossible to tackle problems that relate to us all.
3.) The design of a place can create the atmosphere the mood, which people pick up on and it influences how they feel thus in turn how they act. so it its a clean and open space people are more likely to be happy and social then if its dark and dirty.
4.) people should go to town meetings or if they cant or don't want to go outside they should email/write/phone others. businesses are a stakeholder involved in the economic aspect as if they public space surrounding thier building is bad people will tend to not visit which would decrease profits.
5.) physical mail is something not everyone pays attention to but it easily passed out to the masses, and I'm thinking of the poor masses who in community frequently dismiss.
6.) I think if i'm living in a place that is dirty or unpleasant i mentally separate me from that space and thus it is not my community, which is harmful as i'm still living there
7.) sustainable communities can take care of them selves and have strong ties to the surrounding communities and can 'take a hit' but bounce back.
8.) well for starters i can invite people to a block party, we usually have one or two of those on holidays but during the party i can invite everyone to have engage in more conversations. To help become more sustainable, i could talk to the homeowners association about what initiatives are feasible to do and get other involved in executing them.

Hello this is going to me answer Ch2 choices for sustainable living discussion Q's todays instead,
1.) i think the fact that we keep saying (for the most part) there is a problem we should be more sustainable then just don't take the simple measures to start changing, this works both locally and globally.
    2. He means that everything is connected and one pull on the web can be felt miles away. This makes the issue more personal and less distant to think about.
    3. I can definitely start eating heather for the earth.
    4. it helps us look at the amount we are consuming and how we are using technology. we all know consuming too much is bad, but technology is usually thought of a wholly good thing and often people do not look at the negative side thus don't factor how it fits in to reducing sustainability, not in the fact that it should get more advance but in the fact that we should rely on it less.
    5. because of climate change it created a scarcity of food and water, which left the land unsuitable for supporting that number of people and thus they were forced to find refuge else where.
    6. people will start flocking to the riches places that can afford or still has supplies of water and food, and it will be come a luxury and a dystopian world will be created. As countries start to close them selves off to immigrants (more so then now) because they cannot support the amounts of mouths leaving huge migrations of people to wonder just outside and around the big cities to waste away. I think that a movie or something already...
    7. the places with the largest population density vs actual land supporting area. also add to that the poorest areas will also start starving (again more so than they already so). So all the overpopulated areas and poor areas near me.
    8. oh so i guess they wanted me to do that but i have already done that so many times (2.1 if i remember correctly ) and once again i can say i can definitely eat better, consume less, and upcycle more
