I took a carbon footprint test which analyzed all my consumptions then evaluated a score. Having a large footprint in carbon, i believe after reading the analysis came from my diet choices of consuming chicken, and dairy products. In addition, also driving to my job majority of the week really increased my footprint. After talking to my friends and family about this, I felt a sense of guilt but also understood that i can make changes such as taking public transit more to school and also researching more plant based diets.

I found this one sorta difficult because I would forget at restaurants that was under this challenge.  Although, when I straws i would just fidget with them and not use them. I'm sure due to covid they would throw it away anyways. Plastic bags seemed a lot easier since i use my own bags for shopping, Or i reuse my paper ones

After moving homes during Jan. 27th-Feb. 3rd, I immediately bought a Britta jug to have clean water and also reduced my plastic consumption by not having to buy water bottles. I just clean and reuse my hydroflask.

During this week as well, friend and I decided to travel together from school and extra circular activities, since we live in the same building. It was fun to think that were saying the eco system but also money and resources. We would use his car for longer trips since he has a eco-friendly option during traveling.

Last week, I rode the max line a few times and had a great conversation about the public art that sits on the orange line right by where i live. The art was canoes that emphasized the historical culture of Brookland that had a lot of creeks, ponds and small lakes.

So along with eating 5 organic meals this after going to the framers market, I told other friends of mine to join me next week to try it out and price compare some options. They always wanted to try healthier foods but never knew where to shop besides the "organic" section at large company stores

This week i choose to eat 5 meals the had organic ingredients and it didn't seem that hard. I limited my meat consumption but valued to shop at local grocery stores and visit the Saturday market to get fresh produce. Meals that o made were a hearty veggie stew that lasted me awhile; a shrimp stir fry with rice; also a creamy chicken pasta with organic pasta and veggies.; in the mornings I had caged free organic brown eggs with a loaf of bread i bought at the market; lastly, I tried to cook with tofu but it didn't end up well to because the tofu broke a part into tiny pieces

My choices for sustainable living are going rather good. It felt nice to explore a nature trail near my area and feel connected to my environment and not be attached to an electronic device. To smell the air and greet people near by fun, likewise to see wildlife just coexist.

Chris, this resonates with me. I've been trying to cut down the time I spend on my phone and go outside to exercise or just enjoy the scenery as well over winter break. Definitely helps you refresh.
